Calling all First Frontier entrepreneurial-minded big idea generating folks. The Startup Alleghenies initiative in partnership with the Ben Franklin Technology Partners will award up to $50,000 to tech innovators or small manufacturers located in “The Alleghenies” who are developing new products, processes or software applications.
In addition to the cash, winners will receive:
- A free consult on how to access federal R&D grant money from the Innovation Partnership (IPART)
- Free passes to seminars offered by Ben Franklin’s eMarketing Learning Center
At the contest finals, one lucky finalist will be selected by the audience to receive the People’s Choice award, a cash prize of $2,500, sponsored by Somerset Trust.
You Qualify to Apply If:
- You are located in Bedford, Blair, Fulton, Cambria, Huntingdon, or Somerset County
- You have not previously received Ben Franklin funding
- You plan to commercialize your innovation
- You do not have more than $1,000,000 in sales revenue for your innovation
