This site is a former National Guard Armory Center and consists of 10 acres housing two buildings. The armory building is 25,700 sq/ft and the maintenance building is approximately 3,700 sq/ft. The armory consists of a large drill hall, administration space, classrooms, kitchen and multiple storage areas. The site is comprised of 3 sections comprising the 10 acres of the site slightly terraced from one another. The site is located directly at the Frankstown Exit of I-99.
The armory was constructed in 1938 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The armory facility should be maintained and preserved in accordance with the PA Sec. of the Interior Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. If the historic standards are followed the Fair Market Value (FMV) will be reduced by 20% at time of sale. In addition there may be federal tax incentives available to the purchaser.
The most recent FMV for the site is $1,900,000. The sale of the site will be facilited through the PA Dept. of General Services, Dept. of Military Affairs.
